I have a 06 ram 1500 4x4. I am starting to have problems with the tailgate latches. Sometimes when closing it they don't catch. Sometimes they do. It seems to be happenning more often lately. Is there anything that might need cleaned? Any suggestions as to what I should look at?

hey buddy I haven't had this problem yet but it seems to me that maybe the latches could be bent?? or maybe somethin is stuck in the mechanism....possibly when u tried to close it one time a rock or somethin was jammed in there and it bent the latch...happene d to a buddy of mine dealin with his hood latch... hope this helps u out
