Default Steering and shock noise

The truck is starting to make the I am about to hit 100000 miles noise.

Truck makes noise when I turn the wheel. Really only when I am doing under 5mph because the motor has to work harder. The fluid is full but I did add some Lucas after it started to make the noise.

Also I get a squeak from the front end over small bumps. It seems to be coming from both sides at the same time. I can lift the truck(off) by the fender about 2 inches and she squeaks on the way up and then on the way down. This happens on both sides.

Both seemed to appear at the same time.

"grease the front end" is better left not posted unless it comes with what to grease.

are the shocks origional? if so, i would start there... maybe lube the shock shafts (if you can get at them) and see what that does... if that works, new shocks may be in order..

as for the steering, the pump could be getting tired... i wouldnt add any additive because our trucks call for ATF+4 in the powersteering system... i'm not sure too many p/s additives meet the requirements of ATF+4
rack and pinion could be going too...

Had the same problem dude. On top of ur struts there is that rod that goes threw the top. Thats ur squeak. JUst spray some wd40 on it and it will stop squeaking. I am also have a rubbing noise when i turn the wheel. My buddy just says its the bushings.....

I would check to make sure it's in proper place and that all the bushings/isolators are where they should be. If the spring isn't set properly in the bucket it'll make some noises on you.

Alright will try the wd40. I will probably lift it up when it gets warmer for a good look.
