Default Well, it's about that time..

As of late my trucks been giving me more problems then I can deal with, and I've decided that with all the problems, and the general lack of aftermarket parts for Ram's compared to other trucks, I've decided I'm going to cut my losses and sell my truck

Within the past 2 months, I've had to replace my radiator (old one cracked completely in half, down the middle), and my power steering, and will be replacing the power steering again as of today. I'm in college and am having a hard enough time paying for classes/books/gas as it is, so I can't be having to spend hundreds on the truck each month to replace new parts, and be day-to-day on whether I'll be able to use my truck to get to school and work. Any of you who go to/have been to college know that the parking is bad enough, but throw in no power steering on top of that and I just don't feel safe driving the truck around there.

I KBB'd my truck and the suggested retail on my truck was $11,900 which is anything but awful for a '02 4.7 2wd. So I figured I'm happy with letting it go for ~$10k. What would you guys see yourself paying for truck?

And don't worry, I'll find myself back in a Dodge further down the road (always wanted a Cummins), but right now just isn't the right time i guess.

Damn that sucks. Im also in college and the bills suck. Im a freshman. I know I said I was going to buy a SRT8 Jeep buy looking at a Charger R/T now. But you probably could sell that for 12K privately.

How many miles are on it? I don't see you getting that much for the truck but maybe. Got my 04 in 08 for $10,000 flat.

Sorry to see you go but you gotta do what ya gotta do.

I got my 02 5.9 with 85k miles on it fully loaded with option for 10,500. I think you could probably pull 11 g's out of it, its a nice truck without a doubt and mine was the best truck for the best price that I could find. I say list it for 11.5 and see what offers you get, you know whoever buys it will talk you down a little, so list it a little higher than you think. I would almost say that you would even be safe listing it at 12. But thats just my opinion. Its sad to see you go and to be getting rid of that beautiful rig!

That does suck man!!! I've thought you had the one of the best looking white trucks on here. If selling it as is, try to start high and work your way down.

We really need to know the mileage on it to give a good gauge... And how good of shape was your 02 mmstar?? Creative's truck looks clean and if he finds the right guy who will just buy it for how good it looks he could very easily get 11+ out of it, I told him to post it at 12 grand so that he could be talked down and still get enough back out of it.

It just rolled over 92k, I think it was 92,071 or something close to that when I dropped it off at the shop earlier..

I was pretty suprised to see KBB put over 11k on it, I was expecting something more along the lines of 8-9k, but I'm not gonna complain about it too much

I think I'm just gonna list it at 12k OBO on autotrader and if someone wants to talk me down to 11k, maybe even 10k, i'll let them think they won that one. What do you guys think..?

Good way to do it!!!! Go for it. Make sure you have a tissue close when they come and drive your truck away.....You're gonna need it.

I think at 12k you wont get any bites at all. Buyers want to come down, but they dont expect the seller to drop more than 500 or 1k at most, so if its more than 1k over what they're willing to pay, they wont even bother offering. I'd start it at 11k and not take less than 10.5 to start with. test the market. if you're getting several offers around the same price, theres a good chance it wont go for more than that price
