I think you would have to do the PCM and TCM at the sametime to make it work right for tuning purposes.

On a side note AF, just so you are aware the "fastest" QC on record in the US (*03ramit1*) is an 04', so no trans tuning, and is running a 12.73 in the 1/4. So just because the trans tuning is out of the question does not mean that you cant have a tire shredding, fast *** QC.

Well, the biggest problem is 03 has separate PCM and TCM, 04 and up it's a combined unit. How do you get around it?

Kfed on DT ran a 12.69, he is a 04 and has SCT tuning. So I think 04's have tuning options

here is his mod list

12.69@105.97 FASTEST QC HEMI PERIOD

500ish RWHP
500ish RWTQ

Pacesetter lts. Varram HEMI underglass CAI. NGK 4306. Flex a lite 180. FM super 44 true duals. High flow cats. And a shot of juice. Crane 216 cam. 6.1 springs and rods. SCT tuner, Cal Tracs, Motive 4.10's, LSD rear end,Micky Thompson ET Streets on all 4 corners.

This is weird, i got a new tuner yesterday and we were talking over in the superchips thread about how the 03's limit your tuning and i thought to myself "hey i wonder if i could swap out the pcm of an 04-05?" and then my brother pointed me to this thread. man if we could figure this out that would be AWESOME!!!!!

I wonder if you can use a PCM from an SRT8 vehicle? A corresponding cam and injector change might do wonders with that PCM (if possible) with a 5.7.

I believe there are some differences in the wiring harness that make this difficult. Communicating with the gauges could also be problematic due to the different bus. SO there is one more thing to swap right there.
