Default Eaton TruTrac ?

I have a 2007 Ram 1500, Hemi, 3.92 gears and it's a peg leg.....HATE IT ! Well the peg leg that is...

So I'm really leaning towards the Eaton True Trac differential. Anyone done it ? Do I need new bearings ?

My 2000 Silverado 2500 had a good diff, not sure what it was or how it differs.

Any ideas, tips, advice ?

You will only need new carrier bearings as long as you're not changing the ring and pinion. Post #39 here will help you http://www.*********.com/forums/show...=282164&page=2 (just put "dodge talk" in w/ no spaces where the *'s are). Here is a link to new carrier bearings http://airram.com/product.php?catego...&productid=283

Do a search, LSD threads come up at least once a week in this section. But most people opt for either the Detroit (Eaton) TruTrac or the Auburn Gear LSD. Although they use totally different technologies, both are a true LSD (not a locker) for excellent use on a daily driver...

From what I've heard, the Auburn needs special lsd fluid while the Trutrac just uses standard fluid.
