i dunno.. the size he chose is a 32.2" inch tire.. thats a pretty stock size.

even my 24s with 33" tires is only a 2.4% taller tire

maybe the big gap in the wheel well is making them look smaller.. maybe you could lower the back end to level the truck out?

i dunno... it depends on how much 2.4% more is worth to ya to see if you wanna upgrade

it was worth it to me! it doesnt sound like much but that little 2.4% can make a big difference in the appearence dept. and a lil more ground clearance.

okay..lesson in tires.

Sknny tire give more traction than a fat tire, a smaller diameter tire gives you more traction than a larger diameter tire, model T and jeeps could go anywhere, more traction in a smaller contact area, once you increase diameter and widith, your creating more contact area that has more potential to lose traction.

a 265 to 285 is not that extream, but nothing wrong with a 265, GM trucks are running 245 diamter tires.

Hmmm, I'm not wanting to cause a debate here over anything, but on some parts here, I would disagree with you. If a skinny tire gives you more traction than a fat tire, why do dragsters, etc. run such a wide tire??? More contact patch so as not to slip. If you go offroading you would want a tire with a wide tread and a tall sidewall so if you air down you have a larger "footprint". I would rather have a larger tire as far as height and also width if I'm going to be doing any offroading. You need a larger contact path. Otherwise professional rockcrawlers/off road teams would be running bicycle tires if this was true. Again, not wanting to cause a debate, just my 2 cents.

Skinny tires work better for snow plowing/driving. Street and mud you can benefit from width.

To be honest with you, the more I see that picture they look smaller than 265's. Almost like a 245???? Oh, well. Sorry OP if you're not happy with 'em.
