TQ 'Verter/Shift Kit Installed!!
Just got back from the shop putting in my Edge Racing converter (2400 Stall) and TransGo HD2 Reprogramming kit. All in all, it wasnt too bad. Took about 5 hours on a lift, for the converter, filters, reprogram kit, and fluid.
The converter install was actually pretty strait forward and easy. the HD2 on the other hand, was not for the faint of heart. the instructions need to be a little more detailed.
There were 3 of us there, 2 working, and 1 cameraman. I've got around 175 hi res pics to sort through for a write up/tutorial. i definitely wouldn't try this job without a lift. air tools and swivel sockets also helped tremendously.
on the drive home, i definitely noticed much better shifting. i have not put the resistor in yet, but even without it, i am pleased with the outcome. it did not change the shift points at all (those are controlled by computer) but it did make them much more crisp and quicker. the other thing i noticed on the drive home was my tires kept chirping when taking off from red lights. this was in town driving, without really getting into the throttle. the slightly higher stall is noticeable, and will take just a little getting used to.
more to come later, ive got to take a shower, and possibly go take some acceleration vids.

well, looks like i wont be making vids tonight. starting drinking instead of driving. i will make them saturday, once im off my 48 hour shift. a few teaser pics coming up in the next few minutes though.
also, i ended up taking off my whole exhaust to pull the tranny all the way off. wasnt hard at all though.
no, havent gotten all the way into it yet. had to drive home during rush hour traffic in socal. but i will tomorrow morning on my way to work.
