I have an Afe cold air intake on my 06 hemi it eliminates the hemi hat and routes the intake down by the headlight so it gets a constant breath of fresh air it really helped my truck out i would recommend it

the only bad thinf with that is it put the filter lower in the enginebay. so if u do any puddle jumping u run the risk of sucking up water and hydrolocking it.

I run the same setup that LX pictured on the last page. I put in a K&N drop in filter in the factory airbox for better airflow and reliabilty. I chose that setup since I cross my share of rivers and live in the wetest state in the country. Don't want the chance of sucking up that much water.

No other mod is necessary for the addition of an air intake. I would suggest getting this or fabbing something up to work like it. It works really good with the factory box and helps with the cones as well.

The hemi hat is very restrictive on air flow. Acts like a muffler and keeps the intake quieter but these engines love to breathe, and the hat restricts the full benefits of a CAI.
