Default 03 guys with the TMR delete/mod.....

I know a bunch of guys that have done this mod including myself have mentioned running an inline switch to the cab so they can turn their torque managment on and off at their leisure, and i thought about something last night. instead of just running a on/off rocker switch, what if we used an adjustable switch, like a dimmer or volume **** type of switch? i know programmers/tuners dont work with our trans', but on the newer rams they can adjust their TM with their tuners. i hear most keep it at 10% or in that ball park. well if we just use an adjustable switch, we can keep it at whatever we want and dont have to worry about the fear of it either being 0% or 100%. does this sound do-able?

i never use my dimmer/dash light switch, and im not sure if its just a 2-wire switch, but being an electrician im pretty sure its just a feed in and feed out, and if so i could take it apart, cut and splice the 2 wires together so its always at full brightness, and then use that as the switch for the TM and maybe use whiteout or whit paint and paint a little line so i know what percentage my TM is at like this:

(FYI this is not my dash, just a pic i found online)

any opinions or suggestions?im not gonna be around till tuesday so if this is possible i might give it a shot then.

The torque management request signal is a digital pulse.

I don't see a reason to ever re-enable it. I've run without it for almost 3 years with zero issues. If I haven't broken anything by now it isn't gonna happen!

its not the breaking things thats the issue. its the loss of "snappiness" on the low end. loss of snappieness = loss of happiness. im gonna go run my head through a wall now for that comment

"Running without it" = running without torque management. Once the wire is pulled there's no reason to ever go back to stock.

BTW, I'd be surprised if our dimmer is just a simple rheostat. Everything on these trucks is over complicated and I expect this to be no different. I'll bet it sends a digital signal to a computer requesting a certain light level.

i have no idea, i could imagine a quick google search will do the trick. also, try the third gen ram FAQ section. if not, im sure a PM to Weed or hammer couldnt hurt.
