Default Removing stock head unit?

Hey guys,
im trying to figure out how to remove my stock radio. I have an 06 ram 1500. Its a later version 06 so i have the newer front end and newer interior. I have a wood trim around my radio and i know you have to remove that. I just dont wanna break it. Im guessing it pops off or something i just wanna make sure there isnt screws or something in the little compartments under the radio. Thanks guys!
Dan

you basically have to take your center consol and dash out. (just the part that covers the head unit) but its really easy. then the head unit should be held in by 4 screws. take those out, unplug and remove the head unit.
