Level kit and you'll get rid of the rake and won't have to worry about the bumper weighing down and lowering the front.

I'd say they have to be different. The V-6 is aluminum, right? Must be a 200# difference?

3.7 V-6 is same construction as 4.7 V-8 (cast iron block). So no, not aluminum.

definately will be different springs because of the extra weight.

I found 8 different part numbers for the front coils for my 06. As for which one go to what truck, or what are the differences I don't know. Part numbers start at
55366471AA and go to 55366478AA. Hope that helps.

You have to know your sales code to figure out what springs you have or need.

i dont see why they wouldnt fit bc its practicall the same bodied truck cept for the v6 part of it. i was lookin to put the v8 springs on to compensate for the added weight of the full replacement bumper that will be built for this truck. i can put a leveling kit on it yes, but after the bumper is put on it will it will pull the front end down a little bit bc the springs are only made for the weight of the v6.

They will physically bolt in no problem, what you will have to figure out then is ride height and handling characteristics.

i belive the ride height should be right bc the bumper would take up the weight for the v8 springs. if the ride height is not then the coils can be cut. i am trying to achieve a level ride with the bumper and know that if i put a bumper on the little v6 spings i dont believe it would sit level. the handling should not be affected to much as i am making up for the tighter springs.
