resetting PCM

Default resetting PCM

ok so im new to this stuff and i am planning on doing the power wire mod and it says i need to reset the PCM i believe so how do you do it and this shouldnt hurt anything rite?

Open your fuse box and find the fuse for the PCM. In mine it's number 23. Pull the fuse. Get in the truck, buckle your seatbelt, turn the key on, wait for all the dinging to stop - about 10 seconds or so. Turn the key off, put the fuse back in. Your PCM is reset.

You can just pull the neg. battery cable for like 10-15 mins. then hook it back up.

but you gotta make sure you put your seatbelt on before you turn the truck on! it wont work without the seatbelt!! lol jk couldnt resist!

Especially if you go the battery disconnection route - you must have your seatbelt fastened when you disconnect the battery and when you reconnect it. LOL

Fastening your seatbelt, when resetting by removing the fuse, just keeps the truck from yelling at you as much.

so do i just ondo the battery. or do i need to undo the battery do the seatbelt thing then turn the key. go ahead make fun haha. just want to make sure i get things rite
