New2This: The PW (either professionally made or custom made) tricks the PCM into thinking the incoming air is about 22* cooler that what it really is. This only helps to a certain extent before the PCM corrects itself. This only works at WOT when the truck no longer monitors AFR (open loop) and gives it a bit more pep if you will.[/QUOTE]

oo alright, thanks. would there be any benefit of doing this to my truck if i already have the K&N CAI?

I know I got one when I did it. I also added a jetscoop and the Airaid CAI at the same time though. I just did the PCM reset and everything was peachy thereafter.

I was just wondering if i have to have the 4.7k Ohm, 1/4 watt resistor or if a 1k-ohm 1/2 watt will work the same. Thanks Jeremy Pruitt

I dunno what the big deal is with the power wire, it fools the PCM into thinking your running 15 degrees cooler, so the PCM richens the mixture.
Why not just get a 180* thermostat and actually run 15 degrees cooler?

Hamm, it's not that it makes the pcm think the engine is 15* cooler, it makes it think the incoming air is 15* cooler. I would still love to see a dyno on this.
