Default which cylinder is the number 4 cylinder.....

on the 3.7L. I'm throwing p0304 and that's a cylinder misfire. I need to change that plug and see if that's the prob before I go tot he dealer.

W/ the hood up facing the engine it's the 2nd one back on the passenger side. Are you getting a misfire code or something? You might want to try moving the coils around if changing the plug doesn't fix it, could be a bad coil.

I got a p0304, cylinder misfire on 4 but now I get p0300, multiple cylinder misfire. Any ideas?

Well how long has it been since the plugs were changed? If you put that code or "multiple misfire" in the search for the 3rd gen section I'm sure you'll get plenty of threads w/ info.

They need changing. I found these OBD codes here. Might be EGR. What would you do if after replacing plugs you still have the problem? Any tricks to getting at the back plugs?

DTC Trouble Code Title, Conditions & Possible Causes:
P0300 1T: Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected Conditions: Engine less than 3000 rpm; adaptive numerator updated. PCM
detected a misfire rate of 1-2% (High Emissions 2T), or a misfire rate of 6-30% (Catalyst Damaging 1T) in 2 or more cylinders.
Note: If the misfire is severe, the MIL will flash on/off on the 1st trip! Possible Causes: Air leak in the intake manifold, or in the
EGR or EVAP system Base engine mechanical fault that affects two or more cylinders Erratic or interrupted CKP or CMP
Sensor signals Fuel delivery component fault that affects two or more cylinders (i.e., a contaminated, dirty or sticking fuel
injector) Ignition system problem (coil or plug) in two or more cylinders Vehicle driven with low fuel pressure or while very low on
fuel.

on the 1st trip! Possible Causes: Air leak (manifold, PCV) that affects more than 1 cylinder Base engine problem that affects
more than 1 cylinder CMP Sensor, Sensor wiring harness or tone wheel is damaged Ignition system problem that affects more
than one cylinder Fuel metering problem (fuel injectors, fuel pressure) that affects more than one cylinder EGR or EVAP Purge
problem that affects more than 1 cylinder.

I'd try replacing the plugs myself first then reset the pcm and see if you get any codes after some driving. No tricks getting to the back one's I just stood on my bumper and stretched my arms back in there.

I got NGK iridium plugs for mine so I wouldn't have to change them as often, and I think the OEM plugs are NGK copper.
