Yeah I have been making them audio CDs so I guess that's not the problem. Unfortunatley the one in my Magnum will sometimes not read regular CDs so I may have a problem. Actually, now that I think about it, my truck has only done it once or twice so maybe it was just a fluke. oh well. Thanks guys.

Yup, you guys are right about the whole "audio CD" think, not "mp3 CD", and CD-Rs, not CD-RWs.

Also make sure your blank discs are made by a reputable company.

There are a dozen or so (ish) manufacturers of blank CDs. For example, Sony is usually a higher quality made CD or DVD (even though Sony usually doesn't make their own discs), while Memorex is a medium quality disc.

My RAH plays MP3's on CD-RW's no problem (roughly 150 or so songs to a 700mb CD). I can change it as often as I like.

dan, do you burn the disc as an MP3 disc or do you burn the MP3s as an audio disc?

If you have this head unit in an 02-05, you can burn straight MP3's onto the disc as a data disc and it will read and play them up to 200 tracks.

Hi joe, not sure to be honest cannot remember. The first time I checked to see it it would play mp3 files, was when I downloaded the overhaulin theme tune, Kicking Harold's 'Gasoline'.
My ram loves playing it or should that be i love playing it in the ram
