Default whining when accelerating

I have a 2005 Ram 5.7L hemi and there is a whining noise when I accelerate, seems to be RPM related and stops around 50 mph. Doesn't seem to affect the power and stops when you release the accelerator. Any ideas?

some cold air intakes will induce a whining noise while accelerating if you removed the engine resonator.

I had a weird whining noise, turned out to be the alternator pulley bearings

its definitely the bearings on something run by the belt. Prob the idler pulley or tensioner. Take the belt off the truck and spin all the belt wheels see if any make even the slightest noise.

It could be the belt depending on what shape its in or if its not seated correctly, I would try getting a new belt, cheap thing to check and easy first.
