Quiet Tick and Noise in Reverse
I noticed yesterday when I was sitting in the drivethrough at Spangles that my engine has a slight tick. I had to turn off the radio and everything to hear it but it speeds up with higher rpm's. When I accelerate the motor and exhaust are too loud for me to hear it but if I slightly hold the brake and give it just a touch of gas it speeds up tremendously. Any ideas what it might be (not Hemi tick I gotta 5.9)? Also when I put it in reverse it makes a funny noise, almost like a small electric motor starting up or something. I don't kno how to explain it, and of course the dealer can't even tell it's happening cuz when they mess with it the chit don't happen.

HERE Maybe like a Denny's but better quality?
noise could be lifter noise. hard to tell without actually hearing it or using a mechanics scope.
reverse....could it be bands slipping from lack of pressure? Whens the ast time you had a tranny service?
maybe it's the pcv valve making noise or even the EGR solonoid.
Google search Spangles, it's good chit. I don't have a clue on the engine noise and I don't even know if the 5.9 has an EGR if so where it's at. The tranny according to the stealership gets looked at everytime I get the oil changed, but you all know how tricky those damn stealerships are. (Rant Start) For instance my mom's car, idk if y'all remember when I posted up about the fan runnin. They replaced it and some kinda resistor and a week later it's doing it again. Now they wanna charge her another $600 on top of the $400 she already paid for parts that she didn't even need! (Rant Over)
