leveling spacer question
ok si i got just got some leveling kit spacers for my truck there 2 inches tall. am i going to need an alignment for sure after i install them. i had a friend who had a 4 wheel frive dodge and he got the spacers tghat into the top and he didnt need them
It doesn't matter if it's 2wd or 4wd. The spacer changes the whole geometry of the front end and you WILL need and alignment. Just figure that into your cost. Did you buy your shocks too? You'll probably need those a little longer.
no i didnt get shocks. the seller said that he has installed them on many trucks and everybody ive heard witht hem said they worked fine. the seller said on most of the trucks he put them on they didnt need an alignment, which im highly doubting.

Mine went on top,2",needed alignment, make sure the alignment shop knows that you added the spacers. Prices vary for probably $40 -$100. They had to use special alignment straps on mine because the wheels were too deep for thier normal equipment. I paid $80 roughly, alot cheaper than new tires!
On model trucks before '06 most trucks do a lot better with longer shocks. The stock shocks on mine actually held the upper and lower control arms together and didn't allow for travel since they were topped out and I only went up 2". Just a thought. You need an alignment and if he told you you don't he may not know what he's talking about.
