Just a quick question...

Are all the emblems (thankfully there aren't many on the ST) on painted surfaces simply stuck on with double-sided tape? Do any use locator pins into holes punched in the metal? I always remove this stuff when there aren't holes to deal with, however I've found some companies use pins AND tape though Chrysler SEEMS to just use tape (caught the hood emblem on an Intrepid when drying it and flung it--the emblem, not the Intrepid , across the yard); any experience?

I've understood that its double sided tape. I'm removing my SLT badge off the tail and thinking about getting the ram head for the rear and ditching the Dodge badge.

 

All of the emblems are adhered with double-sided tape. Either a small heat gun or a can of 3M general purpose adhesive remove/cleaner works really well.

btw, I usually simply "cut" the tape with fine fishing line or dental floss and use 3M Adhesive Remover for clean up.

Lol..i just got the dodge emblem on the tailgate for the 05's...now mine kinda looks like the o5.....w00t...and yes..it was double sided tape...strong tape ...at least for now...

I am about to debadge mine when I get off work. I'm gonna sell the "Dakota" emblem and the Ram Head emblem off the tailgate if anyone is interested in them just PM me with an offer.
