Default Ticket!!! No fun

ok so tonight I got pulled over for my exhaust being to loud. I have strait cat back. So its very loud. The deal is if i get it fixed the ticket will be voided. So what muffler should i get to fix it? I will be putting a race land cut out on so I will still be loud even thought I have my new muffler system. I want this muffler/exhaust to give me performance power.

If it's a cat-back system you shouldnt be getting a ticket for it? That's rediculous.

My only tip is whenever you see a cop just let off the throttle and coast by idling so they don't think it's near as loud. As for the muffler I have heard good things about Magnaflow, Aeroturbine, and Cherry Bomb.

Delta Flows, Magnas are pretty quiet just get the big boxes, i think the AeroturbineXL is their quiet version.

Just to round out opinions, Flowmaster 50 series 3" single inlet with dual 2-1/2" outlets. SS tips SRT style. Been on the truck for 6 years and 50k+ miles. Works good to me.

I had a FM50HD on my truck for just over 5 years, it always droned a little, but not so bad to make me change it out. It always appeared to be in good shape too, just a hint of surface rust on the bottom and sides that I could basically just rub off.
But when I removed it to put on my Cherry Bomb, the top was swiss cheese! I suggest you get to where you can look at the top of yours...
