Talking FINALLY........Just pulled the trigger

Well, the wife and I did our V-day gig @ midnight tonight. Since my new tires are part V-day/part B-day, she "let" me order them tonight, instead of making me wait, lol

Went with the 295/70 NTG's, through Discount Tire Direct's Ebay store. $776 shipped, not real sure if thats a 'deal' or not. I found a couple other dealers for $10-20ish cheaper, but from what I've read, they're pretty reputable. Mounting and balancing and alignment is gonna run me another cool $100. Might still be able to get the H.B.S. level too, so the alignment will happen after that, of course .

And from what ya'll have seen in other threads, theres no worries, I WILL have pics up asap

Cool - you have 17s, correct? I am buying some new tires pretty soon as well, and was thinking about 285/70s. I have a leveling kit also. Post some pics of those tires and let me know about the clearance. Thanks!

NTG as in Terras or Trails? Could be either since the Trails came out...

Thats right, Sorry Hammer, they're the Terra's.

Yup, they're the lil' ol' 17's on there. I went with the 295's purely off of hear-say, that they wouldn't give any problems. I've seen at least 2 members, one leveled 2wd, one stock 4wd, that's running these sized tires with no issues, so we'll just have to see. Theres a real good chance that the level will go through too, so hopefully there won't be any issues regardless

Glad to hear I got a decent deal. I "shopped" around a bunch before ordering, hell, have been for months now, haha. I almost waited, was going to go to the local National Tire & Battery store, they're running the buy 3 get one free deal, but, meh, It's done now

Nice man. Tires make a whole new ride and feel. I've also heard 295's with a level gives little to no troubles.

My v-day gift from myself was a replacement wedding band since I lost mine a month ago. jst flew off my finger somewhere's?(I've lost like 30lbs sine my weding 2.5yrs ago) Darn thing was $1400 beans too.... ended up finding a suitable replacement for $600, but i internally moaned the whole way home. All i could think of was that i could have bought a Rancho Quicklift kit and had nice new shocks on all 4 corners.

Hey DD, I feel your pain brother! I haven't had to replace mine yet, but its loose as hell. I was chunking a limb in the chipper, right after we got married a couple years ago, and I felt it come off. Boooooy, I stopped ALL operations, haha. Shut the chipper down, told the boy in the tree to stop cuttin, the whole ground crew was on their hands and knees looking for that thing. Leave it to the oldest fart to find it, haha, saved my a$$ a couple hundred buckaroos, and an all-expense paid trip to the doghouse.

Gator: I saw some (I think) 325/85's NTG's, something like that anyways, on a big ol' Cheby, they were pretty huge. Not sure what that equates to, but had to be 35's. Ive gotten OCD with these tires, every time I see'em, I'm peeking at the size haha

Very cool. Nice to see you're finally getting the tires man!!! You're gonna love 'em. 4.7, you're a 4wd right? Why don't you just run the torsion bars up a couple inches for a FREE lift?
