My Gtx runs great on the highway, and is not reving near 3k just cruising. It has the 440 and 727 with 3.55 posi rear. 3.55's are not sacrificing any accelleration either, makes power all around. Driven many times non-stop from Pittsburgh to Columbus and it wasn't reving my ear off..

Try it. Would be easier than what we are doing. Link to Cummins in a RCSB 2WD.

It'll have to go in the 83. That has collector plates, and no emission testing. I don't even want to know the fines for having that old of a motor in this new of a d/d truck. I can't afford to have my daily truck down for the 2-3 months it would take on my limited time frame. Have other projects to do first, like a head in a 97 escort for my father, and a 318 to put in our 350 dump before spring. It will be nice in the 83 ramcharger, and much less headache than the new truck. That Cummins project is going to be nice when done, electronics are a PITA.

Make sure that RB is going to bolt into your truck, the motorhome blocks and heads were usually special castings (and usually a 413 with massive water jackets around the bores) and the regular mounts may not work.

It measures out pretty close. as for mounts and such, that is what the mig welder and torch are for. at least it is carburated, only 4 wires to hook up.

I think we are getting closer on the electronics, thanks for the compliment.

Thanks man, we are moving forward, even though our Chrysler tech did not come through to help us. The tach works great now, it is charging and showing oil pressure. Trans will shift to OD while on stands, but it don't want to do it under pressure (driving). Just bugs to work out.
