RACE HIS A$$!!!! you have nothing to loose and most likely you wont get killed you will give him a run for his money! from my experiences with racing diesels just make sure you hook up at the start

 

Just remember the weight difference as well, that diesel outweighs you by quite a few grand, I think you could actually give him a better run than some of these guys are giving you credit for, and if not, then you dont win em all haha.

 

You know I spend a lot of time around chipped deisels with all my friends, and I say trun em. A '97, even chipped and injectors, your going to have a pretty good run on him. I say do it. Wont hurt.

 

My truck runs dead even with a chipped/intake 02 Excursion 7.3 2wd. Neither of us pulls but he does outweigh me by almost 2k lbs.

I watched a newer chipped F250 run repeated 14.0s at the track. Unfortunately I think he was new to it because he'd powerbrake at the light while waiting on his opponent and he really pissed off the transmission around his 4th or 5th pass. It may have just been overheated but it wasn't happy.

 

Just to let you guys know the results i raced a 97 f250 powerstroke and i pulled away from him like it was nothing i hit 105 and won the race.. then i just raced a 2001 F350 single cab 7.3 powerstroke and i gave him a head start and then flew past him on the highway doing 105 lol all the powerjokes max out at like 95 there garbage

 

I have sean multiple ford 250/350 go faster then 95 - must of been racing junkers or bad drivers

then again ide rather pull more then competition then go faster...
