Default Weird behavior in burnout

So i recently put a detriot truetrac w/4.56 gears in my truck. Earlier today I decided to do a burnout at a stop sign. both tires started spinning BUT my *** end started hoping up and down real bad. Why is it doing this and what can i do to stop it?

Sounds like axle hop, no weight over the rear end and ****ty tires?? My brothers truck used to do it to from a stop light if he hammered on it.. Im not sure what exactly causes it but ladder bars will fix it..

the tires are fairly new. they are Aurora RH08 275/55/20 which i think is owned by hankook. When you say ladder bars is that the same as traction bars or caltracs?

its actually called axle wrap, which produces axle/wheel hop. basically there is so much torque being put on the axle, it actually twists. it'll twist a bit, then snap back straight, then twist, over and over again very quickly, causing the axle/wheels to actually bounce.

Ladder bars are just a brace that connects the axle to the frame (parallel to the frame) to prevent the axle from twisting.

Yep, Spring wrap or axle wrap. Caltrac time..... $500 should cover it.
