Hi all New here having trouble with my 05 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 hemi need HELP?
Hello everyone if anyone can help i would be forever in debt to you. Here is the story i rolled my truck over on its side dec19th 2009. Got it all back together and now have engine and codes up first problem maybe all could be related i work on quads not trucks but first is check engine light came on had the code read it was a coolant temp sensor. so one i cant find it on this motor and my gas milleage has decreased and second like alot of problems i have read on here when i pull up to slow down and come to a complete stop it just dies starts right up and runs great when in park it idles like a charm only when i turn in 4wd or just pull up to stop. only have 40000 miles on it i need anyones input i have read several post on here and all seem logical just my dealer wont do anything about it unless it flashes a code could the coolant sensor solve all these problems PLEASE HELP THANKS.
There is a conversation about this on DT right now about a guy coming to a stop and the engine dying. Its a mix between the trans filters and bad O2 sensors. If your Check Engine Light (CEL) is coming on, see if you can get the codes.
thanks for the info if anyone else has a idea im open how often do those sensor go bad and anyone have a pic where it is im sorry i just dont know sensors at all i really appriciate your help great site glad i joined.
Cycle the key and post up what codes it is throwing. May be throwing more than just the collant codes.

I thought the problem was the EGR for the Hemi's dying periodically??? Also, temp sensor can be set off by a number of things like plugged cat or bad O2's. I am sure someone on here has had the same issues your having so be patient and I'm sure they will pipe in soon. Best of luck
Thanks just replaced the coolant temp sensor the code was p0116 the check engine light wont come off and i check the code and still has the same code no others and i am still having the stalling problem this is such a headache it sounds like many of us have this same problem anyone have a solution i cleaned the throtlle body out good air cleaner is brand new something has to give.
Being upside down is a little hard on everything. I was thinking that the wiring is the problem more than the sensor itself. What all was removed and repaired from the crash? Check to see if the is some wires damaged. Did you reboot and/or clear the codes?
