Looking at 2 Rams...
OP didn't say what his price range is. If I didn't love my truck so much, 14 or 15k sounds like a pretty good price to me.
originally was looking to spend 10k but couldn't find much with 4x4 and 4 doors. so now looking at 12-13 tops to spend.
Those are way overpriced in my opinion, I got my 02 with the 5.9 in it for 10.5 with 80k miles on it and mine was the slt plus with the leather heated seats, 3.92 lsd's, premium wheels, dual climate, and even more, so I wouldnt pay more than 11 for that 02 and I still believe that is overpriced.
But you guys have to understand, that it also depends on his location. Just from what I've seen down here the truck market is rebounding also. So if they're asking around 13 which is what it's listed as there's plenty of room for negotiation for sure, especially for an '02.
I agree, but with the price only 13, he could definitely drop it down easily to 11 with using the fact it's an '02. All it takes is some negotiation. You're only talking 2k difference. Pay 11 and have him include all dealer fees. Plus I think he said his buddy works at that dealership. Which of course helps. The price they post is NEVER the final price. It's always negotiable, or atleast when ever I've bought vehicles.
X2!!!!!!!!!! And if a hemi's out of the question go for the Red one.. A lot nicer. Just to add, I paid 11,500 for my 05 Hemi slt in Canada. Everything is expensive here.

I'd use autotrader.com and expand my search area out as far as I was willing to drive for a decent deal. Found a great deal on a car for my daughter that way. I was looking within 100 mile radius and couldn't find anything worth going to look it. It helps to know specifically what you are looking for. I expanded my radius to 250 miles and the options and price ranges increased dramatically. Found her an immaculate 05 RX-8, loaded, with 43k miles for 13k and the car stickered for well above 30k. And this was almost a year ago. Before I expanded my search, I was looking at 15k or more for similar cars.
Also, many ads list the VIN number. It's worth it to purchase an unlimited use VIN checker like carfax and run everything you find before even going and looking. I used the vin checker available through the NADA site. It was well under 50 bucks to run all the VINs I wanted for 90 days. A lot of the cars I found on used dealer lots looked clean, were claimed to be clean, but had some very questionnable histories. Anything from suspected odometer replacement/disconnects to past frame damage to sketchy title histories.

Prices do seem high. I recently acquired a 2006 Ram 1500 Sport with the Hemi for $12,500 with 78K. Needs some minor body work/paint which will be done for ~$750 which puts it at $13,250 for a nice, clean truck. I say hold out for a better deal. Have some patience and you'll find something that suits you better.
look those prices are way to high for those trucks keep looking im the 2nd owner of mine bought nov 08 for just under 10k with 50k on the clock in sweet condition....you just gotta find the right one...i'd look for 04+ if you go hemi or 4.7l ....and try to find one with lower milage there out there buddy trust me....
