hmm, I dont have a pic, but if you slide the passenger seat all the way foward, there is a post in the floor directly behind the seat with an impression I believe in the trim stating that the position for the jack is there.

Unscrew the post off the floor, place the jack there and then secure the jack in position with the threaded post.

yea its got a black tab you pull up on the front right lower part of the seat, in front of the mount. pull it off. under the seat there will be a round bolt head in the very center, the jack slides onto it and then theres a wingnut bolt that goes through the loop on the end of the jack and through a hole in the bottom. The tools go in a leather bag that velcros to the jack.

I've had a truck of one kind or another for all but about 2 years of the 26-27 years I've been driving and I don't think I've ever touched the factory jack. Of the seven 4x4s I've owned over that time all but two were lifted, so the factory jack would do me little good.

Right now I keep a Hi-Lift jack under my toolbox in the bed of the truck. With my BedRug, it really doesn't move much, but I've often thought about fabbing up a hanger for it on the underside of my toolbox...

My suggestion, prepare ahead and get a better jack. The FIRST time I used mine it warped and bent and became useless. And I was on FLAT and SOLID ground. When I am in town I dont worry about it so much but when I go out of town I carry by 3ton floor jack.

yea I've got my floor jack and jack stands in my tool box. Only cuz I havent bought a hi-lift yet and I really dont trust the factory one. I still want to rig up a different way to take the spare off. Attaching all those stupid flimsy poles and cranking for 15 mins is silly. Luckily I havent needed it. Yay for solid sidewalls on 17s.

Yeah, I carry two jack stands in the toolbox as well, I only use the Hi-Lift to get the truck up in the air, even though it's strong as hell, I don't trust it to get under the truck, a bit too tall and skinny to be real stable, even with the "off-road base".

I had to look the the manual yesterday too. I was missing the tool bag for my jack and had been storing it under the back seat. Got a tool bag and it is now in it home under the front seat.

Hey weedahoe, ever thought about an air jack to run off your on board air system? Probably much more portable than the floor jack.
