Default flushing tranny cooler lines

guys, with my new tranny coming in soon, i will be replacing my cooler. dont want to take any chances on there being any gunk in there clogging it up or contaminating my new tranny. but how can i flush out my lines thoroughly without hooking them up to my new one? any ideas?

i have a 26 row HD cooler now, will be replacing that with another. if anyone wants to try and flush the old one out and use it, lemme know, ill let it go for cheap. but be warned, its full of burnt up fluid for sure, and possibly clutch material and pieces of metal.

also, gonna give sharadon a call tomorrow, find out what kind of pan comes with thier trannys. if its just a stocker, or nothing too fancy, i will be ordering a mag-hytec pan to go along with it.

lastly, does anyone know if the sharadon trannys come with a tail piece as well? or do i have to pull the one off my old tranny and put it on the new one? reason i ask, is cuz all the pics i see of them dont have a tail piece on.

Why not take them and run a cleaner or sorts through them like alcohol and compressed air? I assume you are going to replace the cooler?

IDK anything about Sharadon Trans. Take some good pics of it though.

Go get it flushed but I wouldn't put anything that may have bits of metal in it on my truck, I think your best bet is just to dump it. The 26 Row HD cooler is only $150 from the dealer. Just be warned now they do not have the part number for that one. and when they look up a cooler for any year right now it pulls up the aluminum cooler which is shorted and doesn't cool as good as the 26row does.

He's not trying to flush the cooler, he's trying to flush the lines. I think weed hit the nail on the head- compressed air.

thanks guys. and if you reference paragraph 2, line 1 of my original post, you will see that it says "i have a 26 row HD cooler now, will be replacing that with another." which in lamens terms means that i will be getting a new cooler and installing it.

Right but you also mentioned selling it too... (See paragraph 2, Sentence 2)... Which is why I said dump it (was refering to the cooler not the lines).

John, When you bought your new cooler did you come up with a p/n? Or do I just ask the dealer for a 26 row HD cooler. Is it the standard cooler on a 2500/3500?
Thansk,
