Talking Big Brown paid a visit this morning...WOOHOO!

:i con_hyper::ico n_hyper:

Haha, yup, got my Terra Graps in today!! Discount Tire was awesome, super fast shipping. I ordered them about 3am Sat night (Sun morning, whatever), and they showed up about 20min ago. Good stuff.

Im so overly anxious to get'em mounted. I'm just really concerned that they might not fit right without that level. I need to get the truck aligned, so Im gonna see if the shop I get to do that stuff will work something out with aligning it now, then cut me a deal on another one after the level. I know its stupid to pay twice just cause I can't wait, but if its just another $20, Im gonna DO IT!!! Haha.

And of course, I know better, gotta throw out some kinda pics......

Grrr.... Might not want to go with this shop.... I told him the deal, $100 for mounting/balancing/alignment, and he said I 'shouldnt' need to get it re-aligned after the level. But I trust what the majority says on here......

Edit: Lol, only you Shilo..... BUT yes, that big brown paid a visit EARLY this morning too

He might just being saying that to trick you into alignment twice, after you level it out and then be like O btw your gonna need alignment again.

Say if I got them mounted, waited a couple weeks, level it, then align it, how much collateral damage would be done to the rubbers? We're talking 500ish miles in that timeframe? I know its so stupid to be like that, Ive made some dumb, rash decisions just because of being anxious, but I can't imagine having these tires in my basement, knowing they're there, lol. Id rather UPS lose'em for a couple weeks, haha

I'd level it now while you got the old treads on there and then it won't matter if you screw em up, and personally I'd burn the chit outta the old tires before you got the new ones mounted.

If all you're doing is putting the tires on there for now, you should be fine without an alignment until you get your level. Of course, level=alignment for sure.

yea unless your truck needs an alignment for sure, I would wait until the level because an alignment isnt needed when you are just swappin out tires. Now once that level is on, then you'll need to take it in.

I did a lot of buisness with Carpenter tire...you should see what they can do for you. They charged me $10 per wheel for mount and balance and I'm not sure how much the alignment cost. The other good thing is after they do the alignment, they'll do a print out of what your truck came out to and what factory specs are. Now, when you get that level, I'd advise you let them know first that there is a 2in lift in the front so they can adjust accordingly or else they'll just align it to factory specs even though you are outside those specs.

And speaking about brown...he should be knockin on my door soon. I've got all kinds of goodies ready to be put on the truck right now

haha I looked at the first photo and thought... Holy chit there are some huge wheel spacers on your truck. Then I realized. Nice choice on the rims and tires.
