They called all the engines "Magnum" for a period of time.

I believe but don't hold me to it as i haven't done much research on them, but variable valve timing (VVT) with a revised cam grind and modified heads. bottom half should be identical

ya even my old 2000 dakota had a v6 "magnum" engine
my 05 ram badge says "5.7 Liter HEMI Magnum" on my fender
pretty sure its just a name and doesn't mean anything
