Default Hemi vs. Hemi Magnum

I have an 06 1500 Lone Star Edition Magnum Hemi and my wife has an 07 1500 Lone Star Edition Hemi. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the two engines and how to tell the differences by looking at them? Also how can you tell if your vehicle is equipped with the MDS? Thanks to all.

There is no difference. Both trucks have Hemi Magnum motors. Both of your trucks have MDS. All 06+, non megacab 1500s with a hemi have MDS.

Correct no difference. My wife has a GoManGo Charger Daytona and her engine is different by looks and sound. The intake is different. Both of ours has MDS.

i always thought the Magnum was associated with the 5.9L Had no idea they carried that into the Hemi? I gotta tell ya, the ways these companies seek to make an extra buck for advertising gimmicks just kills me.

On a similiar note, what did they do to the 09-10 Hemis to get a 390 HP rating?

They put magic beans in the gas tank.

Magnum is just an advertising name/gimmick.
