What the eff did I miss?
my opinion is that RH probably didn't deserve a permanent banning. i'm a mod on a hunting site and think that if a member just logs on to bash and stir the pot, then that warrants a ban, but if a member helps out often and occasionally gets rile up, give em a warning and maybe a post approval for a set time. i liked RH, thought he was a funny guy. it's whatever though, not my site and not my rules, i just follow em. just thought i would throw a few cents in the pot.
As hammer mentioned, he had a temporary ban before (strike 1), then post approval (stike 2), then this. i dont fault any of the mods/admins for taking care of this the way they did. personally, i wouldnt mind not seein him around anymore. he wasnt a specialist in anything, and his shoes will quickly get filled. this is supposed to be a friendly forum, not one where new guys are scared away for asking the same questions we all did when we were new.
Well hell, I went to Florida for a week and it looks like all kinds of stuff went on. It is a shame to see RH gone bc he has always been one of my favorite guys on here to talk to, but I know there has been a lot of stuff leading up to it prior to this.
It's not my forum and I'm glad I don't have to make the decisions about who stays or goes. The mods have a tough job keeping all of us nuts in line. Even though RH and I have clashed in the past, I came to respect and appreciate what he brought to the forum.
Standard operating procedure is:
1st offense: Warning
2nd offense: Seven Day Ban
3rd Offense: Lifetime Ban
however, we have been known to throw a post approval at someone when it's felt they are getting out of line, but maybe not bad enough for a ban.
As talked about in this thread. This individual has been given numerous warnings and I've asked for leniency many times and used up a sh*tload of favors on his behalf.
I have developed a rep for sticking up for or favoring 3rd Gen guys with others "in power" here by using my position to commute sentences handed out, and to a point I guess it's true even though I don't consciously try to show favor.
This time, I refused to get involved. I am abstaining from the decision as to when/if he will be allowed to return. So don't ask me if/when he will be back.
Just to set the record straight here...

hunter told me it was a pm that got outta hand and thats what got him in trouble...this is what i was told....i thought pm's were for that reason to keep it off the boards so no one took offense to what was being said....this is just what i was told...i think it sucks but thats just me.....
Please PM Pyro or Hammer with any issues or concerns regarding banning or RH or banning RH. Further discussion about that in this thread will just result in this thread getting locked.
