5.9's are tuff *** motors but I would definitely demand that it get looked at by a professional and not some half *** that got his license behind a building in an alley way.

Yea sears blows, I learned that the hard way w/ a set of tires they screwed me on warrantying.

Shiloh's right the 5.9 and the old 5.2 are tough, but take them for all you can.

This is why unless it is absolutely something I CAN'T (tools, expertise or space) do, nobody works on my vehicles.

just wanted to throw in i took my truck to meineke a few weeks back to get my muffler swapped out, then they talked me into some system clean, that didnt produce any amazing mpg results. but then about 2 weeks ago my truck starts making weird noises when i turn the steering wheel, it got worse and worse, so i checked the power steering fluid level, and suddenly its only half way full. i never noticed a single puddle anywhere so i dont know how half the fluid suddenly dissappeared

yeah those "system cleaners" are a bad deal sometimes. Usually your truck likes having gunk to keep things sealed. I don't like running seafoam just cuz of how abrasize it is on seals and what not. An older vehicle, sure, but I wont touch it with my truck. I run all syn fluids and it's kept the truck happy for 130,000 miles without a single mishap or problem. If it's not broke, don't break it.
