Default Airaid M.I.T For Hemi

DON"T JUMP DOWN MY THROAT FOR NOT USING THE SEARCH!!!
I have a specific question about a specific intake. Thank you.

I'm about to buy one of these from Moe's Perf. For you folks running the MIT from Airaid, did you find the temp sensor hole to be in a bad spot? Cut and splice wires? Would you buy it again?

This seems to be a complaint on reviews on some websites.

Yea, mine works great. I also have the power wire attached as well so I have more slack than I'd like, but its always better to have too much than too little.

Yeah that's my concern. The power wire adds length to the temp sensor (correct?), so if the hole on the MIT was in a wrong location (usually too high on the tube) the stock wiring would be too short.

Know what I mean? I really like the idea and price of the MIT, but I don't want to have to rip apart wiring harnesses to install it.

I have the MIT tube with a K&N in the stock box and had no problem with install. I don't have a power wire so mine is still stock lenght and I had plenty of wire to run it.

yea, hole isnt in the greatest spot. stock wiring BARELY makes it. would take all of 5 minutes to extend the wires if i was really worried about it, havent cared enough yet.

I had an MIT on my 2004 and now my 2008. I relocated the IAT as well. Dropped in an Amsoil EAO air filter. Runs strong.
