Default leveling kit installed!!! no pics yet, very soon though

ok fellas installed my 2 inch leveling kit yesterday and it took 6 and half hours because i was workin by myself to do it with no compressor or anything, and advise anyone to never do this crap by yourself!! i had no choice otherwise would of had a buddy help, but the truck looks great will have pics by tomorrow for sure, and i have a question, i put the 2 inch spacer on the bottom and the isolator up top it was the only way i could get the spring in.. is that ok? i hope soo cause i dont want to deal with it anymore, ill have pics up for you guys to see, but fill me in please

Hmm if it is the poly spacer it should have been up top. The bottom needs to sit in a certain place for the spring to stay seated. The spacer is designed to fit in the top with the lips holding it in.

Put a pic of your suspension up. Also, stock shocks or new? and hows it ride?

yea its a poly spacer.. and i know theres a certain place for it to sit but its seeded in there pretty good now im not worried about it popping out of place cause the shock will keep it from flying everywhere and its got a lot of pressure on it, and no its new shocks.. and its kind of a stiff ride and my A arm hits my bucket over big bumps, but the truck looks good though lol ill put up picks, and i know cowboy im working on it lol

Well welcome #2 in the 06-08 2wd 2in club. Mine ride is pretty stiff, and the control arm is hitting the bucket too. Thats my problem, it looks alot better but the ride is so bad!

yea lets see the pics though. And its not the shock coming out, its the shock turning. its not the same length on both sides

the shock is cut to where its longer on one side. The inside of the a-arms are wider than the outside. The bottom of the shock bucket has a hole where the end of the shock sits, holding it in place. You might not have any troubles out of it, but the spacer should have been put up top

yea i know what your talking about, but everything has set in its right place and the shocks are stable, i just wish i could do something about the freaking clanking noise when i hit bumps! im actually going to try and find some rubber strips to stick in between cause it annoys the hell out of me

yea Im thinking about doing the same thing. Fatbobs sells a rubber bump stop for the top of the spring bucket, they told me it might work. Let me know if you do it!
