Default 2005 Dodge SLT 4.7L

I am a first time owner of a Dodge truck and I have noticed that the 4.7 is a dog in performance not so much from taking off but when trying to pass on the highway OMG. I am sure this question has been asked a ton of times before but I would like advice on what to order to boost performance. I have an K&N filter and performance exhaust, just wonder if a super chip and a throttle body kit would help - if so what would be the best buy for the buck and what brand?

In the club section we have a club for 4.7 owner to talk about stuff like this. I even have a list that has been made with pointers on performance for 4.7.

But start out with a Superchips, and a CAI and that will help for sure.

Cold air intake. Like OE said, if you go to the 287 crew in the club section, Jay has a link to a CAI for 70 or 80 bucks that he highly recommends. Feel free to join.

whats your current gear ratio? i had 3.55s and being on 35s that was a loosing combo. just got 4.56s installed this week and by far the best thing ive done to the truck. price tag is steep, but the wife said no to a new CTD so i spent my down payment to make my rig a lil bit more driver friendly
