Got quoted on Terra Grapplers (2,000th post!)
If im not mistaken the tuners are tied to one truck at a time, you may be able to read or clear the codes with one, but changing a value inside the computer I think it has to be paired with that particular truck, meaning it would have to be unpaired with the previous truck first. I may be talkin out my *** tho, but thats the way it was explained to me.
You are correct about the Superchips, it can only be used on 1 vehicle at a time. He will need to buy his own or have the dealer do the speedo change. I keep a GPS in my truck and it gives me my exact speed. My speedo is off by 2 mph which is no big deal.
I got my 295/70 Terras for $776 shipped, then another $48 for mounting and balancing. Got'em from Discount Tire's Ebay store. BUT, I didn't opt for the warranty
I was hoping my extended warranty's tire coverage that I paid extra for would still cover'em, but I highly doubt it.
I gotta use that calc Cwboy posted, I went from 245/70 to 295/70. I thought the speedo might be off, lets see.....
Damn, 7mph difference, so Im not crazy after all! Haha, it'll take a lot more than this to prove that one!!!
Good luck with your decision buddy, you'll love the NTG's, whatever size you go with
