Hella 500 HID Conversion
I wanted an HID kit for my Hellas so here goes.....
I bought an 8000K kit made by Xentec....anyway, had to modify the housing a little bit to make room for the HID bulb.
I drilled a hole in the center to allow for the HID bulb to come out. I temporarily sealed it with electrical tape, but will replace it with a grommet soon. It turned out pretty well and the results are sweet.

Just drilled the hole - I saw that conversion thread Bullet....I tried that but the bulb stuck out further than that guy's did. I could not get them to go 90 degrees....but what I did worked just fine.
To get those lights mounted there, I actually drilled into the front of the crossmember. The mounts come out straight. I used a longer bolt and a couple of nuts to act as spacers so it clears the AC line. The other set of lights are Hella 500ffs. They have the 85w yellow Hella bulbs in them. I may convert those eventually with 3000K HIDs.
