Yeah I had to trim away some of the under storage area so it would fit right over the module box. I wish it was not there because it takes up some space, but at least now I have under seat storage again.

I think I'm gonna try and find a small amount of carpet to match the truck and lay it down in the storage area and over the module box so it look somewhat better.

And with unplugging that seat belt harness under the driver seat, it makes the air bag lift stay on, so that for sure does not disable the belt warning. I'm gonna try the key method to disable it.

And would anybody know where I could tap into for getting power inside the top storage area with the 12v outlet? Are there wires under the carpet I could dig up? Or would maybe getting some longer wire and running up to the dash area and then hiding it all be best?

agreed, i just put in a a center seat sub box and i have my sub firing down on the black box and i noticed the seat belts are much more sensitive now

Guys, I've taken that black box cover off before and there are yellow wires and assumed it was the Airbag module. i don't think a seatbelt control would have yellow covered wires like the Airbag wires do????

Why not just leave well enough alone, its there for a reason, why make things possibly fail if you get in an accident. Just because you dont know what it is exactly doesnt mean its not needed!

Im fairly certain thats wrong, if you follow the leads all the way in both directions it runs to the seatbelt wires, and if you do unhook that little black box and turn it around up and down and side to side you can feel a little ball in it that senses quick motion such as a sudden stop that would lock up your seatbelts, and if you turn it upside down it automatically locks your seatbelts, as it would if you were in a rollover accident.

Yeah, I did a lot of playing around with that little black box in my old truck it was located in a different spot on my new truck so I didn't have to deal with it, but it is the same little box. I had to move it in my old truck because the sub and it took a lot of playing with it to get it right so that the seatbelt trigger wasn't too sensitive.
