Leave them on. I have never had stuff get trapped in there as long as the boots are securely fastened to the shock body using zipties. With out the boots you risk pitting the shafts from rocks and pitted shafts will eventually rip the seals inside of the shock essentially shortening the life of the shock considerably.

4wheelonline was the site offering the promotion (Jan1-Feb28) I took fool advantage of this seeing these were the shocks I intended to install when I got my lift. And to hell if I was gona pass up the free MyRide. Sending in my paperwork tomorrow

I love the 9000 shocks..I find myself adjusting almost daily depending on my mood, my passengers or whatever I have in the bed. They really are great when you can stiffen up the rear a little when you have some extra weight back there. Mostly during the week, I keep them really stiff like a truck should feel. Then on the weekends, I loosen them up so I dont rattle the wife's teeth..haha.
Great to hear, Now I just have to survive and save up until I get my dang lift so that I can install these beauties.

I've heard just order shocks for a 2500, the shocks will mount and are exactly 2" longer than 1500 shocks.

Search it because I don't want to be held accountable for this if it isn't right. But I'm pretty d*** sure it's true and someone else will chime in. Not sure on the different brands though.

So far the cheapest I've found by a few $$ than 4wheelonline (Free shipping) would be my4by (Not sure on Shipping).

so i should put the shock boot on the steering stabalizer as well? They said that was the worst for getting debrie and water in it.
