Oh sweet, talk about irony that you post this up today, I just picked up a cb yesterday and was going to install it this weekend but I wasnt to sure how to go about doing it.. I bought some metal and was gonna make a mount like the one genos sells, but I really like it ALOT more in the dash like you put yours, but mine is bigger so im not sure how itll fit, I have a cobra 29 nw ltd.. How did you get yours mounted in? I guess the front of the dash pulls off and the cubby hole is in that? and then just cut the back off and slip the cb in? This looks really good, Ill probably have to use the lower one incase the top isnt wide enough. What do you get with the scanner?

Also did you run a ext speaker? cause the cb speaker would have been pretty confined in that little cubby hole??

i had to do a little cutting, but not too much. all i did was cut enough to slid them in and that's about it, they fit in there tight and there's no problem with the speaker i can hear it just fine. not a very good explanation, sorry. i use the scanner for weather mostly.

Ok cool. I get how you went about doing it, Ill probably end up doing it that way since those holes just get filled with crap anways.. How hard was it to get the dash apart? I hate screwing with interiors.

there's two screws under the center, above the cup holders. after that you just pop off the cover, it's a pain in the butt to pop off just pull.

Thanks, it's a good place to put it. I just used double sided tape for the mike holder so if I want to move it it's easy and no holes to worry about later
