sorry i know this has been a big topic recently but anyways im thinking about putting a new y pipe on my truck. what will this help? will it make it any louder?

 

You shouldnt do just the y pipe. The stock y pipe IS a weak link in the stock exhaust, but it really is all restrictive. Start with cat-back if you dont have the money for a full exhaust, if you already have it i would save for headers AND a y pipe.

 

Headers could be a future mod as the log type manifolds are crap, but since he already has an aftermarket muffler a new y-pipe is a good mod. I think it will probably make it a little bit louder but not a whole lot.

 

ya i didnt read the sig, ya a wipe pipe is a good mod, however its still gunna be pretty restricted by the stock headers.
