Default 2WD Level kit installed PICS ;) + CAI

Well after all i have gone through i finally got my level kit from fat bob's garage. First the story started with the ordering of their 2in level kit and ended up getting the huge 3in tall (A.K.A ball joint killer) spacer. then i tryed to installed and got one side together and though no way this was gonna last. So gave fat bob's a call and argued with them for a while and ended up getting another spacer that gives 2in of lift. This this was half the size (sorry forgot to take pics of the difference). So now that im at school away from my tools ended up going to a local shop to finish what i started (150 install + alignment) not bad. Anyways im happy with it, no difference in ride i might add, no clunk, even tried to get a clunk

sorry its dirty (cell phone pics)

okay I think your a bit confused on the whole spacer deal (not being a douche)

A 3in spacer gives around 2in lift after settling. The groove for the spring to sit in is an inch deep, giving you the 2 remaining inches of solid material for lift

I measured mine out, the 3in gave me 2in lift. But I DO get the clunk unfortunately. see how much more mine sticks outName: 1264538443.jpg

Ya i understand all that i just didnt really want to deal with the same problems that you are having so i went with the spacer that fat bobs told me still gives the 2in of lift that was for 06's-08's. Anyways i am very happy with the results and ride

Found the volant CAI used in perfect condition on ebay for a steal

I know, its tight as hell at full lock. ours is a weird setup, doesnt allow much movement. when i get some time im gonna go get new ones made.

Redram, im not bashing, just throwing that out there for future readers. You did the right thing, i should have got the smaller one. Actually, fatbobs and i worked on my problem, and they offered to send me the spacer you got for free. They also put up that little caption at the bottom of the page for the 2in lift about the 06-08 models not working after my ordeal

it really helps the look of the truck though, doesnt it?
