what year is the ram you put that intake into?
the paper it came with said 02 and 03, i have an 05, but had quite a few people on this site said that intake would fit my truck. having a little bit more trouble putting it on that it should. i think if i took off the stock intake mount on the left side on the engine it would fit, but i can't figure out for the life of me how to get it off.

mine is on an 07. It came with a small rubber washer, I slipped it over the AIT sensor and plugged it back in. I hope we are talking about the same thing, because you said MAF sensor. Its not the same thing. post a pic of it and the size difference and we can work on a solution

i'm talking about the piece that goes inside the whole on the crome part of the intake, you put an seal around the chrome hole and shove the piece inside of it.

but i got that i'm not worried about that anymore lol, the part i'm having trouble with now is the new air filter won't fit right. it is being blocked by the bracket that held the origional filter. it seems to be bolted to the wheel well, and i can't seem to get it off. and it seems like it actually could support the wheel well somewhat. should i just cut it? or did i order the wrong part and it won't fit for ****?

if i'm making no sense i'll take some pictures during the day time tomorrow and post them on here, withday light fadin i put the stock one back on. but now my check engine light is on ...

FAIL

but, is this helps at all now, here is a picture of jay's
to the left of the air filter now, is a bracket that that stock air filter (the big black box) was bolted on to. this bracker is making it so i can't put on the new air filter.

i don't know if i need it there, if i can cut it, or just completely remove it.
but i'll have my own specific pictures up tomorrow
and also i'll have to stop by a buddys house who i can hook my truck up to his computer ... that check engine light is bugging me i dunno how i could of ****ed up putting the stock intake back on but clearly i did something wrong

Okay you will be removing the entire air box assembly from yours. the bolts that go through the wheel well will install to hold your new airbox shield down
