Default Superchips

So I added the superchips tuner to my truck tonight, and I LOVE the added power. The only problem is that the 1st to 2nd shift is way to early still, Im not even reaching the power range, and I decided while I was playing with it to check the codes just to see and it said I had a torque converter code... P0744 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Intermittent

I think thats the code... What does that mean for me? Could that be causing my weird shift from 1st to 2nd giving me no power? I mean my truck shifts right as I start to feel the power...

I could be wrong about the code btw... I will have to wait until it comes up again, but could that possibly cause the truck to shift early? Or is that not the problem for my shifts? If so, the next thing I wanted to check was my Throttle Valve, but Im not quite sure what to check for? I don't do transmissions as a rule...

I would say re-install your stock tune, clear the code and see if it comes up again. If it doesn't then throw your tuner back on it and see what changes. I have a SC3865 on my 03 and I haven't thrown any trans codes.

The code was from before the tuner, I just got the tuner today, I just checked the code out on my tuner and its the first time I've seen it. Either way I want to fix my chitty shift point. I'm almost certain my transmission is not going bad though, so it should be something else and I was reading about the TV cable being a cause for that.

I'm a little slow.... ok clear the codes and reload your tuner. If it throws codes again track down the problem.
