similar thing happened to a buddy of mine up in fresno. he saw the guy who bought his truck, asked him if the lot told him about the wreck. he was clueless. they both went to a local news station with all the facts. and well, the buyer of the truck got hooked up pretty nice from what i heard, and that lot isnt around anymore.

oh hell yeah, most states you AND the dealer have to sign that there was no KNOWN accident damage, and in this case the dealer knew!! The buyer should have as well!! Always ask for the carfax!!

NO not the car flaps, the carfax!!!

My brother was in the market for a new vehicle, while at the dealership trying to work a deal a salesmananger ran a CarFax on his 05 Dodge Ram Hemi Quad Cab 60,000 miles. The report showed that the truck had a complete respray, it was due to flying debris during a Florida hurricane. The whole truck was scratched so the insurance paid for a complete respray by the dealer. The dealership offered him $7000 trade in allowance. The salesman had the nerve to tell him the truck was worthless and if he traded it the dealer would have to wholesale it. We walked out and about a half hour later the manager was calling my brothers cellphone trying to work a deal.

It is very ILLEGAL, it's called false advertisement. Contact your local authorities.

They are all crooks, cut from the same cloth as politicians. I have no respect for any of them. Everything you have is worthless and everything they have is solid gold. A friend of mine got the fever to buy a new Ram and they offered him **** for his immaculate 04 SLT Laramie. He offered me the truck for what they said they would give him. Believe me I didn't hesitate to buy it.

Yep, the ad was taken down, luckily I still had it open on my browser here at work, moved to my site so you can still see:

http://bcwhite.net/truck_ad.html

I think it was taken down b/c it was sold. I didn't see it on the lot on the way home. My buddy is still planning to at least call and try and schedule a test drive. No camera or anything like that, just curiosity. No news crews need to get involved. Again, I have no problems with the dealership on the new car side anyway. But this is the reason I will take the quick depreciaton value of a new ride, it's the only way you really know what the vehicle's been through....
