Default oil temp sender location

For those folks that have installed an engine oil temp gauge for a 5.7, can you tell me where you installed the sender and the fitting sizes you used? Thanks in advance.

i dont have what you are talking about, but if i did, i would get this: http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugede...id=3578&sid=61 and mount the sender in the pan. or i would just save up and get an aeroforce interceptor gauge, which will monitor just about any parameter you want through the obdII port

thanks man. I am getting a phantom gauge. I just really need to know where others have connected the sender unit.
