To be perfectly honest I do not know why mine is higher while his is lower. Is he going off what his Superchips is saying or an actual track time with a slip with it and did he do any weight reductions, what was the barameter at, temps ect...? There are a lot of factors that are included within a time. But during the day at this track you usually run a few tenths slower than at night but whatever Im not going to make any excuses for mine as that is what it runs and I got the slips to prove thats what it runs and it is also about 3-4 tenths fster that a truck without the tc and gears which is about right. Also with an elevation correction I'd be sitting around a 14.6-14.7 but I dont give a rats *** about elevation corrections.

Also to put things in perspective, this time around I couldn't hit above 90mph, last time I went I was hitting 92-93 but couldn't hook up with the tires I had at the time and it was about 20* cooler then with 0 humidity, while yesterday it was hunid and hotter. So there are plenty of factors that go into times. Under perfect conditions who knows who would win in a 1/4 mile race.... Teach care to come down and find out?

Based off the differences in our trucks weight and the fact that you have a converter I am almost certain that you would win. What I think some guys forget is that the weather and elevation plays a huge role in how these trucks perform at the track. If you are running on a day that has high humidity, high temps, low barometric pressure, etc you are going to have a higher DA resulting in slower times. It is just a fact of life.

It is too bad that you are so far away bc I would love to come out, do some runs, shoot the ****, stuff like that. But since I can't do that, the plan for me is to take the truck down to Cecil this summer if I get a chance to see what it can do. I have never been there before bc I have never seen a reason to race my truck when it doesn't really have any big power adders. By the time I take it down I will have the cam in, hopefully a converter and will be doing some tuning on the truck to see what I can pull out of her.

It be interesting to see how yours does this summer, as I will have a cam in mine hopefully by the end of the month to mmid month next month so we can see then what you're running there vs mine here.

we're going to pull the heads, replace all the head bolts, gaskets, and in the retainers for the stage 8 Headers bolts (I couldnt find the right angles to get them in when they were on the truck), new springs and rods ect. If Im going to do it Im going to do it right.
