Default Spent the day at the track....

Well just got back about an hour ago from spending basically the entire day at the track. It was a good day, there were 4 rams out there this time around.

So at the track, my truck was in full street trim (street tires on stock 20s, hard top tonneau cover, tailgate, full size spare... so no weight reductions).

Best time:

Reaction time: 0.4971
60 ft: 2.1221
330 ft: 6.1254
1/8th mile: 9.4848
1/8th mph: 72.69
1000ft: 12.3591
1000ft MPH: 81.58
1/4 mile ET: 14.9709
1/4 mile MPH: 89.30

Now while those times seem slow, taking in concideration the elevation, temps, weight and all that Im not unhappy at all. I was running 15.02's consistantly all day long.

Just as a reference though, here is the ET's of one of the rams I was racing.

05' Reg. Cab. Short Bed Daytona:
Street tires
stock 20s
CAI
Dynatech Longtube Headers
Muffler (not sure what he had but it sounded good)
Superchips
Tailgate removed for weight
No hard top cover

60 ft: 2.3879
330 ft: 6.4812
1/8th mile: 9.8429
1/8th mph: 73.43
1000ft: 12.6505
1000ft MPH: 83.74
1/4 mile ET: 15.21256
1/4 mile MPH: 89.86

So similar mods and less weight and he's still running 15.2's... Cant wait to get my cam in there

They're not bad times and I know I could pick up some time if I took off the 300lbs or so of extra weight on it but I really dont see a in doing that.

Just drop the spare, pull the cap, tail gate and run the gas tank down some. There is a lot of wieght that can be removed.
My truck is very light, being a SXT it has no options, hell half the wiring is not installed. The original seat was about 1/3 the wieght of a SLT seat. I have added a little wieght with add-on's, but it is still basically stripped.

Ok, ? for you guys..... on my tuner I did the 1/4mile deal and its telling me I am doing low 15's.. how accurate is this? Now all I got is a SC and cat back... just wondering because my buddies in their ram sports stay close but I pull around 60-70 mph. They are running 3.92's and I have 3.55's. just wondering.
