Default really want to do this ..

after reading silvers thread about painting bezels, i dropped whatever i was saving for next and i'm gonna try to do this. the only rams painted in my areas are rumblees, i want to try to be a bit unique and stand out a bit. i have several worries about atempting this though ..

1) my friend referred to my paint as "pearl" paint. does the paint i use have to be "pearl" paint too, or does the sparkley look come from clear cloats.
2) how would i apply it? brushes seem out of wack these days lol ... coud i just use a can to make it look good? or would i have to get a gun of somesort.

any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I did mine with a can, as did Silver. As far as the type of paint you need, pearl or not, I have no idea. Just make sure you prep it right and don't cut any corners doing it.

If you want a dead on match to the outside then you should buy the actual paint and have it done. Personally i would just find a black that's close and follow silvers diy.

duplicolor will have a rattle can paint that matches closely to your color.
